Where We Invest

We focus on companies where clinical insight makes the difference: businesses that dentists understand better than most investors. These are the areas our dental and financial teams look at most closely.

Diagnostics & AI

Imaging, diagnostic software and AI tools that help clinicians detect, plan and treat with greater precision.

Digital Dentistry

Intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM, 3D printing and the workflows that connect the practice to the lab.

Practice Technology

Practice management, patient engagement and the software that runs the business side of dentistry.

Devices & Materials

Clinical equipment, instruments and materials used chair-side every day.

Practice Ownership & Transitions

Models that help practice owners grow, partner or plan an exit on their own terms.

Oral Health & Consumer

Products and services that reach patients directly, from preventive care to orthodontics.

About Crown Catapult

Crown Catapult is part of the Catapult Group, a global dental education platform. It was built to give dental professionals access to the kind of early-stage investment opportunities usually reserved for venture capital funds.

How we select companies

Every company starts with our Dental Advisory Board, who assess its clinical merit and potential. Those that pass go to our financial team for commercial, financial and legal due diligence. A company is only presented to investors once both teams approve.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can invest through Crown Catapult?

Opportunities are open to accredited investors only, as defined under Rule 501 of Regulation D. You self-certify your status when you register.

Can I see opportunities before registering?

You can see which companies are currently open on this page. Full details, including documents and terms, are available only to registered accredited investors. If you would like to know more before registering, our team is happy to talk.

What is a 506(b) offering?

Our opportunities are offered under Rule 506(b) of Regulation D, a private placement exemption that allows companies to raise capital from accredited investors without registering the offering with the SEC.

Is there a minimum investment?

Minimums vary by opportunity and are shown on each deal page once you are registered and signed in.

How long are investments typically held?

Early-stage investments are long-term and illiquid. Successful companies typically take five years or more to reach a point where an exit is possible, and some never do. Only invest money you can afford to have tied up for an extended period, or to lose entirely.

How do I express interest in an opportunity?

Once signed in, open any opportunity and select "Express Interest". Our investor relations team will follow up directly.

Have a question, or a company to put forward?

Whether you're an investor with a question or a dental company looking for funding, we'd like to hear from you.
